Under section 20 of the Public Service Act as amended, “…A Chief Executive Officer or employee in the Public Service shall resign upon registering as a candidate for election to the Legislative Assembly, the office of town officer or district officer”. Evidence of Resignation should be provided to the Returning Officer along with the Nomination Form.
